The iconic food of Chicago for us has always been the Chicago-Style hot dog and deep-dish pizza. Round one: we arrived... we hiked 8 city blocks to eat fabulous hot dogs at Portillo’s... we napped. Round two: we hiked over the Sanitary and Shipping Canal to Giordano’s at Navy Pier and supped on a Veggie Supreme Chigago-style pizza. No disappointment there, either!
