June 28-July 1 Trent Port Marina in the City of Quinte West.

Our cruise from Kingston, ON to the mouth of the Trent-Severn Waterway brought us along the shores of the beautiful Bay of Quinte. Since 1998 the towns of Trenton, Sidney, Murray and Frankford blended together to call themselves collectively Quinte West. 43,000 people thrive in a unique urban and rural setting... complete with rolling hills, rich farmlands and clean waterways. The Trent Port Marina is less than a year old. It has certainly set the standard by which we will compare all other marinas. The Boater’s Lounge with TV, WiFi, public phone and computers is elegant, the bathroom/shower areas, 8 or so, are spa-quality, the state-of-the-art washers and dryers are complimentory with detergent provided at no charge. There is a Gathering Room overlooking the Bay with a kitchen/canteen. Plump hot dogs, Kawartha ice cream (the best!) and chilled beverages are available for purchase throughout the day.  The grounds are splendid with showy gardens in a park setting complete with benches. A picnic area offers a covered patio and barbecues. The expansive dock system is super-stable. The walkways and finger piers are wide enough that there is hardly any rock and rolling. The well-trained crew of uniformed attendents are prompt to assist with line handling as boats arrived. When free of those duties, they are busy beautifying!
