Witlow Point Anchorage

It was a delight to be back on anchor in the Bay of Quinte. Our last anchorage was Atlantic Highlands, NJ just before Memorial Day. The cluster of cabins on the shore of our little cove reminded us of the tourist cabins along the Maine coast. Just at twilight, a lone swan flew in...huge bird but so streamlined in flight... and swam all around. Swans mate for life, so perhaps the search was on. The "chug-a rums" of the bullfrogs eased us to sleep. Sunrise moments are always special. This one was at 5:00 am. With anchor up, we were on the move by 5:45 bound for Trenton and the Trent-Severn Waterway.
